Hansel and Grethel

Once upon a time, in a forest, there lived two children. The boy was called Hansel and the girl Grethel. They have a father as a woodcutter and their stepmother. They were always verry poor. One time they were hit by a famine and they could not produce their daily bread.
One night, their father told to his wife about their situation which they did not have enough feed to themself  and his wife said that they must bring Hansel and Grethel into the forest and leaved them. But her husband said that he could not do that to his children and wild animal could eat them. His wife kept on her mind, she give no peace until he aggred. On that time, Hansel and Grethel not go to sleep because they were hunger so they heared the conversation between their father and stepmother. Grethel began to cry and said  that all was over with them. Hansel just asked Grethel to be quiet so he will find some ways out of it. In the middle of night, when their parents had gone to sleep, Hansel went out and took some of the white pebbles into his pocket then he went to bed again.
When the sun had risen yet, the woman who is their step mother came and arouse Hansel and Grethel and gave them each piece of bread because they were going into the forest to fetch wood. Actualy Hansel and Grethel had already known that they were not going to fecth wood but to leave them alone into the forest.
Then they all started for the forest. Hansel and Grethel did not forget to keep some of white pebbles which had took by Hansel. On the way, Hansel was dropping a pebble on the ground each time he stopped. They arrived in the forrest and their father started to make a fire to warm them. Stepmother said that they would go to cut wood and after they finished they would came back to them.
When dinnertime they ate their bread and they thought that their father was near beacuse they could hear the sound of an ax but unfortunately it was no ax, it was just a branch. They were waiting a long time and they began to asleep. When they woke up it was night. Grethel began frightened so Hansel said to Grethel they would go when the full moon rose and shining of a white pebble would guide them. They walked the whole of long night and they found themselves back at their father’s cottage. They knocked the door and when the woman opened it and saw Hansel and Grethel, she said that they were bad children because they sleep so long so she thought they did not mean to come back home. But their father was very happy for his children.
Not long after that, they back to the desituation where they run out of foods. And again the woman wanted to do the same thing to leave Hansel and Grethel in the forest. It heard by Hansel and Grethel so Hansel wanted to go out to take some pabbles again but the door was loocked by their stepmother. They just believed God would help them. In early morning, the woman made the children get up and gave them each a piece of bread but it was smaller than before. On the way Hansel crumbled his bread and throw a crumb onto the ground.
They arrived at the forest and their father and step mother did the same thing liked they did before. At dinnertime Grethel gave a piece of bread to Hansel because Hansel’s bread had been used to make a mark as their way to come back to their’s father cottage. Then they went to sleep The evening passed but no one came to fetch them. It was almost dark when they woke up and Hansel cheered to his little sister to wait until the moon risen.
They started when the moon rose but they did not found a bread because it had eaten by a thousand of birds in the forest. They thought that they shall find the way out but they could not find it. They were reached till next day from the morning. They only deeper into the wood and also they were very hungry but they had nothing to eat.
At midday, they saw a beautiful snow white birds sitting in a tree and sang so beautiful. They followed the birds till they came to a little cottage. When they walked, they saw a little house was made of bread and sugar. Immediately they hurried to get that. Suddenly someone come with a gentle voice called out from within: nibbling, nibbling like a mouse, who’s nibbling at my little house? The children answered: the wind, the wind doth blow from heaven to earth below. All at once an old woman opened the door, they were so frightened but the old woman tried to be close with them and took them by her hand and led them into her little house.
Although the old woman appeared to be frienndly, she was really a wricked old. She is an old hobble witch, has red eyes were dim and can’t see very far, but she can smell aroma by human being like animals. She had follow the children and built the house with evil pupose to cook the children and ate them.
She got up early in the morning, before the children were awake. She seized Hansel with her bony hand carried him to a little stable. Then she went to wake up Grethel and said she were going to eat her brother after he looked nice and fat. It made Grethel began to cry but it was no use. However she had to obey the enchanter. Grethel cooked the best food for her brother while she was thin. Every morning she always asked Hansel to seized him with his finger. Hansel put out a knucklebone, the witch thought that it was Hansel’s finger so she suprised that he did not get fat.
Four weeks had passed and the witch became very impatient althought Hansel no became fat. She cried to Grethel that tomorrow she will eat her brother and it would make her be sorrowfully. Grethel began weep over.
Early morning Grethel had to go to take water into the kattle and kindle a fire and hang the kattle over it. The witch order Grethel to check it. She meant to roast Grethel first but te girl had known about her evil plan. Grethel said that she could not do that so the witch cheked by herself. At the moment Grethel push her into the heated kattle. The witch began scream horribly but the girl run to tell his lovely brother that the witch had gone. Hansel sprang out the cage then he went out. They hugged each other, kissed and danced with joyful because they had nothing to afraid.
They came back to the witch’s house to get some foods and take anything that they could bring to their father’s cottage. But they had to cross the great of water. Hansel hesitated it. They did not see a bridge, no stepping stone, no boats. Suddenly they saw a duck, they thought that probably could help them so Grethel cried: little duck, that cries quack, quack, here Grethel and here Hansel stand. Quickly, take us on your back, no path no bridge is there at hand, the duck came swimming to them and Hansel told his little sister to sit on his knee.
They had got safely by the duck and walked for a while. Theen they saw their father’s cottage. They began to run and go inside met their father. Apparently, their stepmother had died. Since the man’s chilldren was leaved in the forest, he was felt no happy moment in his life. Grethel gave gifts which she brought from the witch’s house to her father. They lived together as happily as possible.
